For years, North Marion Middle School’s (Florida) reported school grade remained a C. In 2025–26, the school earned a B, a milestone that reflects the focused work of its leadership team, teachers, and students.
From February through May, North Marion Middle partnered with Kaizen-ISL to strengthen instructional coherence. Principal Collins embraced the process, using leadership coaching, tools, and resources to turn instructional priorities into consistent practice. They stayed focused on implementation: supporting teachers, monitoring what was happening in classrooms, and using evidence to guide next steps.
The school’s progress during those months showed what is possible when leaders commit to a clear process and follow through. Its move from a C in 2024–25 to a B in 2025–26 marks an important achievement for the entire North Marion Middle community.
The work continues. Principal Corley and AP Collins continue to use Kaizen-ISL protocols to strengthen planning, instructional practice, feedback, and monitoring, building the coherence needed to sustain growth for students.
